A supportive space for your mind, your wellbeing and your next steps. Fortitude Body & Mind offers accessible, person-centred counselling for adults, with flexible indoor and outdoor sessions tailored to you.
About us
At Fortitude Body & Mind, we believe counselling should feel accessible, personal and shaped around you. We offer person-centred, pluralistic talking therapy for adults, creating a safe and supportive space to explore whatever you’re facing, at your own pace.
With experience across the NHS and a background in personal training, we understand that mental and physical wellbeing are often closely connected. Alongside traditional indoor sessions, we offer the option of outdoor counselling and, where appropriate, movement-based approaches – giving you the flexibility to find an environment and approach that feels right for you.
what we offer
Fortitude Body & Mind offers face-to-face, 1-to-1 pluralistic counselling for adults, providing a safe and supportive space to talk, reflect and work through whatever you may be experiencing.
Our body-and-mind approach recognises that mental wellbeing doesn’t exist in isolation. Sessions can take place indoors or outdoors, offering an alternative to traditional counselling environments, with movement and physical activity incorporated where appropriate and within clear professional boundaries. Most importantly, the approach is shaped around you — your needs, your preferences and what you want to work towards.

would we work for you?
Support for adults, blue light workers, carers and people with health & illness issues
Fortitude Body & Mind offers counselling for adults from all walks of life, with particular understanding of those who spend much of their time caring for or supporting others. This includes Blue Light and emergency service workers, carers, and people navigating acute or ongoing health challenges.
With first-hand experience of the NHS and the pressures faced by those working in demanding environments, we provide a space where you can step away from your responsibilities, talk openly and focus on yourself. As the service develops, support for children and young people may also be introduced.
Fortitude Body & Mind was founded by Neola following six years of NHS experience, where she saw first-hand the pressures people can face in healthcare, caring and everyday life.
As a pluralistic counsellor with a background in personal training, Neola takes a person-centred approach that recognises the connection between mental and physical wellbeing. Her aim is to provide accessible, compassionate support in a way that feels right for each individual.
Fortitude Body & Mind offers face-to-face, 1-to-1 pluralistic counselling for adults. Sessions are person-centred and adapted to your individual needs, preferences and goals.
Pluralistic counselling recognises that there isn’t one approach that works for everyone. Together, we explore what you need from therapy and draw on different therapeutic approaches where appropriate, making your sessions personal to you.
Yes. Fortitude Body & Mind offers the option of outdoor counselling alongside traditional indoor sessions. Being outdoors can provide a different environment for talking and reflection, with movement incorporated where appropriate.
Counselling is available to adults experiencing a range of challenges, including stress, anxiety, low mood, bereavement, life changes, caring responsibilities and the emotional impact of illness. There is no need to wait until things feel overwhelming before seeking support.
Not at all. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. Your first session is an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to counselling and explore what you would like from your sessions.
Sessions are typically 1 hour and take place at Stories Therapy Wirral. Your initial conversation will give you an opportunity to discuss what arrangement feels appropriate for you.
Yes. Caring for others can bring its own emotional challenges, and it is important to have space to focus on yourself too. Counselling provides a confidential environment to explore how your responsibilities may be affecting your wellbeing.
Choosing to start counselling is a personal decision. If you feel you would benefit from having a safe, confidential space to talk and explore what you’re experiencing, an initial conversation can help you decide whether Fortitude Body & Mind feels right for you.
